SHORT DESCRIPTION:

Smart Flow is the ISS internally-used workflow and document management application. It is aimed to the managers who need their everyday work neatly organized, and information easily available at any time.

Smart Flow organizes everyday work and documents into categories, work processes and tasks - similar to folders - including all related data, documents,  contacts, and notes. Scanned documents, references to paper documents and Internet hyperlinks are included along with all other documents.

Smart Flow provides automatic filling in of frequently used electronic documents, by using document templates and separating data from document text. Frequently used work processes could be separated as workflow templates.

Smart Flow includes shared scheduler for appointments, available instantly for all users of same server. Scheduler works similarly to Outlook Calendar scheduler, and features appointment reminders, recurrence patterns, etc. Smart Flow provides also internal messaging and notification system to all users of same server.

Last but not least Smart Flow has strong security and back-up features. All categories, processes, tasks, contacts, documents and data are subject to security limitations. They are available only to users of allowed groups within their allowed rights - read only, edit or full control. Sensitive documents can be flagged for quick archive, and quickly saved on external media and removed from database in case of emergency.

Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Redistributable Package - Free download, also available at ISS Website. Includes everything you need to run .NET Framework applications, including the Common Language Runtime and the .NET Framework class library. There is no need to install .NET Framework under Windows Vista!

Databases:

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2 - Free download, also available at ISS Website. This is the free version of MS SQL 2005 - a robust, powerful and easy to use SQL server. Very suitable for small or medium enterprises.

Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Edition (MSDE) SP3 - Free download, also available at ISS Website. A free robust and powerful desktop MS SQL server engine. Could be easily replaced with SQL Server Standard, SQL Server Enterprise, or SQL Server 2005. Not supported under Windows Vista

Firebird 2.0 SQL Server - Free download, also available at ISS Website. A free, small, easy to install and use SQL Server. Suitable for installations utilized by no more than 3 users.

Windows Jet Database - Embedded Windows database engine. No installation is required. Useful for testing and single-use. This database engine is used also by Microsoft Access office application.
